Most Dairy Cows Are Kissing Cousins, and Scientists Are Worried
- h2odragon 5y agoSeems to me people trying to raise similar issues about domesticated bees in contradiction of the "colony collapse" narratives have been squashed for 20+ years. Thats a much shallower gene pool in the US than the dairy herd. Also the regulation vs money ratio in bull spunk suggests strongly that there's a large opportunity and incentive to counterfeit the certifications: there's a lot of cows out there whose pedigree isn't what its thought to be.
