I think you're not off the mark a lot. I do think there's a lot of assumed knowledge gathered from your actions... my computers don't have microphones and I keep my phone in a box when I sleep (because I am that paranoid), but I started getting those when I switched from a day job to a night job.... being online on your off hours may class you as "having trouble sleeping"
