I doubt Florida will be the last state to pass legislation like this. The overstepping of social media into the shaping of public discourse has been so egregious in recent years that the course has been set.
- hooande 5y agoThis law is going to be struck down fast. Other states can test the courts, but why pay for all the litigation if it looks like Florida is going to lose?
- TulliusCicero 5y agoIt's a wedge issue for the GOP that fits a narrative about tech companies being biased against them. They don't necessarily have to win -- in fact, in some cases it may be advantageous to lose, so they can keep on with the persecution angle.
