How sensationalist and lazy. The gas price in Sweden is $7.2 per gallon,[1] in a country where the median hourly wage is $11.9[2] which is more or less half that of California at $22.7.[3]
~~Sure, Sweden may have more public transport, but the California wages are not only twice as high, the income tax is also ~9.3%[4] compared to Sweden's average ~32%.[5]~~ (redacted)
So, you know, I think they'll be fine.

- rahimnathwani 5y ago"the income tax is also ~9.3%[4] compared to Sweden's average ~32%.[5]" That's only California's state income tax. We also pay federal income tax. I've used public transport in Stockholm. It's much more extensive, fast and reliable than that in San Francisco.
- hnarn 5y agoOk, but Stockholm has about 1/10 of Sweden's population. And you're right, the tax isn't much different if you factor in federal tax.
