- josephcsible 5y agoTesla has been saying they wanted to go vision-only for a while. The semiconductor shortage may have accelerated that plan slightly, but it's not the only reason for it.
- tibbydudeza 5y agoWith safety features deprecated until they figure how to get it working without the radar sensor - you said there was a "transition plan" ???.

- computerex 5y agoHow come it's still shipping model S and model X with radar then?
- josephcsible 5y agoI think it's just a timing thing. Within a few months, I expect them to not ship with radar anymore either.

- sschueller 5y agoMaybe some at Tesla know that FSD will not happen before these models end up on the scrap yard. ~7 years and most of these are either totalled or need costly rapairs.
