The mind boggling phenomena in tech is that Twitter is essentially required now...to get a job...this is not hyperbole. The number of threads I've seen where SV companies are hiring exclusively on Twitter, and looking for a very specific type of person (well described in your post) is alarming to say the least. EDIT: This mostly only applies to very specific positions (mostly design positions). I'm not insinuating that these companies are literally requiring Twitter. It's a bit more complex than that.
