leetcode style interviews do not test the skills you need for what you describe, those skills come with experience, not by practicing leetcode until you can produce solutions in under a minute.
- randomopining 5y agoHe literally explained why they make sense. People who can "just do it" and learn fast and get it done.
- b20000 5y agoleetcode trains you to prematurely optimize and cannot teach you the skills that come with years of experience, which is what you need to be able to do what the above describes.
- randomopining 5y agoNo it doesn't lol. "Don't prematurely optimize" is like a single sentence that you keep in your mind. Being good at leetcode is probably lightly correlated at most (college nerds), with premature optimizers. Of course years of experience matter, that's why they also care about experience and have you talk about design a bit. But mostly leetcode.
- b20000 5y agolol gives away you are probably in your mid-20s. That's OK, you'll understand what I mean as you enter your 40s.
