- cozzyd 5y agoRoyal Oak isn't really a small city though. I mean it is, but it's a Detroit suburb, so probably not what OP meant. Michigan does have plenty of nice smaller cities though (e.g. Grand Rapids, Lansing, Ann Arbor, St. Joseph, Traverse City, Marquette, Houghton).
