I know nothing about infectious diseases, how they mutate, or how they spread from one species to another, but it would seem, on the surface, that the presence of a lab where research is being conducted on coronaviruses in the bat population that is within the epicenter of a global coronavirus pandemic that originated from bats is a bit too coincidental to not at least investigate.
