I'm not sure how to parse these:
>"Camera data does not leave the car itself, which means the system cannot save or transmit information unless data sharing is enabled.”
>"Lately, the camera is being discussed more often after it was revealed that Tesla removed some owners from its FSD beta program after determining that they weren’t paying enough attention when using the system."
Did they share data and got busted or does the car share data by default despite Musk saying it doesn't? This is the most interesting part to me with Tesla's privacy history. Have anyone gotten access to data leaving the car and shared it publicly?
- nemothekid 5y agoI'd imagine that to be apart of the FSD beta program, you have to agree to share data. I'd imagine it's not a very useful beta program if Tesla can't collect data.
- Dah00n 5y agoBut if you have to share data to participate then what use is a "data won't leave the car unless allowed to by you" clause?
