Then you have to deal: - HW that fails, go get a new one, cost + time - backup and geographical redundancy - security - certifications - tooling to manage and forecast - black friday! scale for few days ... more HW? - etc ... It is way more convenient for the average enterprise to pay premium and be done with it. So they can focus on the actual business and not building infrastructure and tooling to manage it.
