Tesla Vision transition results in confusion over Autopilot safety features
- m463 5y agoI wonder why Tesla is removing the radar? I couldn't imagine it costs that much, and if the updated cars start crashing, this decision may be called into question in a public way. I think tesla might want to publicly clarify things.

- nickik 5y agoIt would be 30-40M a year in savings and more as unit volume increases. Radar had been causing issues with false positive. On reddit somebody who works with radar explained the problem.
- MomoXenosaga 5y agoVolvo uses both and I trust them more with safety.
