- cardiffspaceman 5y agoI think this is also my opinion. In my own words, when I want to work on a weekend problem, I like to prepare with a latte, which provides a little focus and euphoria. I don't want to have a regular latte habit.
- netizen-936824 5y agoThat something is likely physical dependence on a substance to get anything done
- Tagbert 5y agoIt is, at most, a very mild dependence. Some people do a lot of hand-wringing over the idea that caffeine is a drug, but any negative effects you might expect from a drug are easy to deal with.
- jrootabega 5y agoYeah, the ritual of preparing, holding, pausing to drink is a big part of it. It's not just about the caffeine. The same ritual would work with mint tea.
- FractalHQ 5y agoAs someone who recently gave up coffee and is trying to replace it with tea- I can confirm this.
- darthrupert 5y agoNot having to deal with withdrawal is a superb intellectual boost, certainly.
- andyana 5y agoI've recently discovered the joy of a well stocked tea cupboard. I still have a coffee or two a day, but tea has become my go-to this year. I get a new, different box everytime I go to the grocery store. I was never a fan of flavored coffee, however.
