This could be useful for many situations, poked around a bit and left wondering: what does 12 per user mean exactly? like.. I user can upload and other people can watch saved videos or they need to be paying users? I saw nothing about exporting for downloading - even did a keyword search for 'export' and 'download' - via the 'help center' So at the moment I see this losing a lot of potential customers because it's confusing like webflow for the pricing and usage and export options are not understood. Is encryption a thing or is this open to rewatch bots and staff being able to peer in? As I think of more use cases for my self- I pop over to the terms page which includes stuff like : no: ...abusive, hateful, inflammatory, vulgar, offensive or otherwise objectionable... So it suffers from what I call the anchor.fm problem - I kind of want to use this for some things - and I can see how it might become a primary tool - but I surely can not commit time to learning the tooling and having content hostage at a place that is so easy to be used in a cancel culture takedown - especially with no policy on what happens with hosted content should an issue arise.. (do I get a few days to download stuff like wordpress.com or is it a dump like parler got from it's hosting - or is it like a google account ban where access is terminated and support is laughable / basically non existent. With those issues in mind, I suppose it'd be better to self host some videos and run some kind of open source transcribe and search - or use youtube for the same and export from there. Makes me want to search for collaborative video/ audio editing solutions to see whats out there. I'd make the "Watch the video" on the front page a thumbnail with video play overlay so its more similar to a youtube play thumbnail. I'd try to get a video on https://rewatch.com/design https://rewatch.com/design and if you find a way to let people add annotations like write on the video and sidebar notes with timestamps - well that would be very cool -anyone know a thing that does this kind of this? /random thoughts - hope they help in some way
