I'm fairly confident the nodes are half width; if you look at the latches it very much would appear you can pull out half of every 2u at once, and if you look at the rear there's 2 net cables going into each side.
- kaliszad 5y agoGood observation, it looks like it. It probably makes upgrading/ maintenance easier since the unit of failure is smaller. Of course, you can also only tackle stuff, that demands no more than 64 cores before you have to rearchitecture your monolith into a distributed system, which has lots of overhead.
