I was curious how Daniel Ellsberg got off, and apparently he was tried, but it was the judge that dropped the charges due to how egregious the federal government's actions were in the Vietnam Papers leak. It wasn't the executive branch doing it. I wonder if it wasn't for that stalwart judge, if Ellsberg would still be rotting away in a prison.
