For personal use very, very little these days. My step-father often still emails photos but otherwise for most family communication we use Signal (both one to one and we have a few family groups for various things). For friends it is a mix between Signal and WhatsApp. For online comms and colab it is about 80% Discord and 20% Slack. Used to be IRC and Usenet but that stopped a few years ago for me.
