Official Elixir IRC channel moves to Libera
- Ndymium 5y agoLooks like this is linking to my tweet. Do note that I am not part of Elixir core team, I am just an Elixir user. But the channel move was official, you can see the new channel linked on the sidebar of the website[0]. [0] https://elixir-lang.org/ https://elixir-lang.org/
- wut42 5y agoI felt that linking to your thread on the matter was more informative than linking to the commit[0] that Jose did, as it had background on the takeover. - iudqnolq 5y agoI'd like to appreciate the Elixir irc channel. Other places are better for getting an easy question answered, but I've never seen anywhere else where the founder of a language regularly answers "normal" questions.
- cpach 5y agoThat was one of Freenode’s greatest strengths. And now it seems like it will instead be one of Libera’s greatest strengths.
