This is quite an interesting statement to make in the wake of Spectre and Meltdown (and vulnerabilities in that class being discovered what seems like every couple of months or so). It's a bit amusing to me how much we overlook clear, even huge flaws in products and processes because they're old - sorry, Battle-Tested™ - while zeroing in on lesser flaws in newer ones.
