Plenty of people will spend an extra 5% to buy something Made in the USA.
- lotsofpulp 5y agoThe lack of manufacturing capability in the US for consumer products shows that either it’s more than a 5% premium and/or “plenty of people” is an insufficient amount for large scale businesses.
- brandonmenc 5y agoIt costs too much to manufacture here in part because we don't have a manufacturing infrastructure on par with China, and because it costs money for a business to "move back". It would be a multi-decade project, but we could (and imo, should) government subsidize our way out of that.
