Don't get me wrong. I hate software development just as much as academia. After 7 years in the industry, there is not a single shred of positive emotion towards software engineering left in me.
- stuff4ben 5y agoWow, I'm incredibly sad for you. If I felt that way towards a field I've been working in since I was in the sixth grade and now for some 30 years of my life... well it wouldn't be pretty. Sounds like you're burned out. If software development is your passion, perhaps take a break and reconnect with yourself?
