Strange to see this happen at Crissy Field, which is decidedly in the "nicer part" of the city. Car break ins are common at the Palace of Fine Arts (about a mile away from where this incident happened), but most people would consider Crissy Field as a relatively safe place in the city where it's common to let your guard down (unlike at say Union Square).
