Science itself is already decentralized. Tons of universities charting their own path. Inventivizing reproducability has nothing to do with decentralization. Those things are orthogonal. Anyone can technically start their own journal as well. The only thing that has to happen is for the journal to gain the trust of the scientific community over time (which, again, is mostly decentralized). Anyone can build a university. All it has to do is to build trust. No coin or website will make that more decentralized.
