The tractor example is great, and many cyclists make brazen moves as a result of this right away. Interestingly, I feel more brazen when riding a bicycle than my (very slow, non-freeway) motorcycle. Maybe the satisfaction that I’m legally in the right when it comes to such things as right-of-way gives me a false sense of confidence? In any case, I wish the US would do more to create safe, adequate options for bike travel.
