My pet peeve of these is not the volume being too high (which they normally are), but the lack of volume control on web/desktop.
Unfortunately it would be more and more common as the mobile world take the dominance.
- squarefoot 5y agoFirefox already displays a small speaker icon on each tab playing audio that can be used to mute it. A nice addon could display also a volume slider when hovering above it with the mouse, therefore allowing volume control.
- callalex 5y agoVolume control there would require an additional audio buffer which adds unwanted latency to any conference or gaming applications.
