- binbag 5y agoHyperPhysics is a fantastic website. Used it so often as an undergrad EEE student.
- wiremine 5y agoWhat's the background here? Seems like a great domain name without a lot of content...
- _Microft 5y agoIt might depend on your background how much you can enjoy that. I am physicist, did not yet know this quote of Maxwell and think that it is pure gold. When I read it, I immediately thought: "Dear James Maxwell, you nailed it."
- CynicusRex 5y agoFor some reason I arbitrarily typed physics.com and was pleasantly surprised as well.
- ocdtrekkie 5y agoDefinitely what I want to know, and why I upvoted it. I have to imagine commercial interests would pay a great deal of money for this domain, so it's intriguing it's held out, presumably for a long time, as a location of a simple HTML page with some quotes on it.
- currysausage 5y ago> presumably for a long time Indeed: http://web.archive.org/web/20040810100957/http://www.physics.com:80/ http://web.archive.org/web/20040810100957/http://www.physics...
- GistNoesis 5y agoWithout ad-blocker there is an amazon ad-widget for selling physics-related books.
- actually_a_dog 5y ago> "The subject of this book is the structure of space-time on length-scales from 10-13cm, the radius of an elementary particle, up to 1028cm, the radius of the universe." Well, it looks more like 41 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything than 42. Edit: Well, it appears I was mistaken. I forgot to count 10^0 cm. The answer is 42. :-)
- Ford__Prefect 5y agoThe HHGTTG cannot be wrong. You forgot to count 0. It is 42.
- chirau 5y agoWhoever owns this domain is sitting on a lot of money. They should sell it to someone who has better use than quotes.
- alexpetralia 5y agoThen, instead of quotes, ads!
- gowld 5y agoIt has Amazon ads (for physics books) at the bottom.
