I'm excited to see how well Windows 10 on ARM performs vs the M1 Macs. It's troubling, though, because optimizations may only benefit the Operating System vendor (like MSFT and AAPL) and the Open Source Community may be left scrambling to make their code compatible. Will the new SoC's become like proprietary drivers?
