Why would you actually go with Rails compared to a smaller framework? If all they are serving is JSON wouldn't something like Sinatra be better? Less fancy stuf

Why would you actually go with Rails compared to a smaller framework? If all they are serving is JSON wouldn't something like Sinatra be better? Less fancy stuff they probably don't use anyway?
