I disagree with this. Sure, hackers get excited at people posting business/financial success stories, but a big chunk of HN gets super excited about hacks that are smart but have no economic viability. This comes in stark contrast to the IndieHackers/ProductHunt/Twitter builder communities, who are all about making revenue and not about tinkering and doing cool hacks.
