Pro-Palestinian activists target Facebook with 1-star app store reviews
- 1cvmask 5y agoIs this the digital equivalent of throwing rocks at Goliath? I am curious if download patterns for Facebook app would ever change because I doubt anyone looks at ratings when it comes specifically to large dominant “destination” type of apps like FB or even Instagram. Many platforms routinely censor and I am doubtful they would alter that behavior. Twitter even openly censored the US president and AWS and others made Gab unviable. The CEO of Youtube openly bragged about the censorship they do at a “Freedom of Expression” awards show. She bragged about the content crackdown/censorship and won an award from the awards show. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2021/apr/20/susan-wojcicki-youtube-ceo-nabs-youtube-sponsored-/ https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2021/apr/20/susan-wojci... It is like give Nobel peace prizes to war criminals. Wait. We already do that. - Note: I might be wrong and an isolated case but I never really look at ratings because I never rate anything myself and I think they can be very easily gamed, bought, influenced and is literally mathematical garbage.
