Fast & Open source metrics demo dashboard
- gravypod 5y agoThis looks interesting. The UI/UX is good but for the obligatory negative HN comment: what is new with this metrics dashboard vs established open source dashboards like Kibana and Grafana? The latter being very feature full, simple to run, and easy for many people to understand.
- deathanatos 5y ago> The UI/UX is good It's illegible… rgb(229, 231, 235) on rgb(243, 244, 246). (~90.5% grey on ~95.6% grey.)
- martichou 5y agoYeah I might have some modification for the UI to do. I'm more a backend developer trying to come up with something elegant. It's sometime hard.
- martichou 5y agoJust for your information I've fixed the issue. I was on dark-mode and forgot about the light mode and decided to only keep the dark one, you can go check it out now, should be better ;)
- martichou 5y agoThere is nothing really new. My point here is for learning purpose, but I also ended up with something lightweight for the daemon on the servers. For example I use less CPU time compared to Netdata, ... and my solution is focused on speed and automation.
- thunderbong 5y agoIs there a link to the source? What is the tech stack here?
- kapilvt 5y agohttps://github.com/speculare-cloud https://github.com/speculare-cloud Looks like rust for agent and backend, vuejs frontend, data store appears to be postgresql.
- martichou 5y agoAs kapilvt said, I'm going full Rust for this. I'm trying to have everything homemade, I use Postgresql and it's replication feature to get a realtime feed which is then transfered using WebSocket.
