If the third party seller is buying the product, and paying to have it labeled and shipped directly to Amazon, I would not consider that drop shipping. Drop shipping implies the product is never really in-stock with the seller, but if the seller paid for it and it's sitting in an Amazon warehouse then that's in-stock by any normal definition.

- bootlooped 5y agoI would consider it drop shipping if neither Amazon nor the 3rd party seller ever had possession of the product. The scenario is: Joe Consumer goes to Amazon and orders a widget for sale from a 3rd party seller. The 3rd party seller then goes to the widget manufacturer and asks them to ship a widget to Joe (or more likely has a computer program do this automatically).
