That's a somewhat common joke in East Germany as well (at least it was in the 80s and 90s). Typically it is a buyer from West Germany though.

- mjklin 5y agoResults for international tonsil-removal competition: USA 2 minutes, France 1 minute, East Germany 10 hours. (You see in East Germany you can’t open your mouth so they had to go in the other way)
