Ever since I had discovered shadertoy I've been searching for a consolidated source like this. I have a decent graphics background after taking a handful undergrad courses, but most of the producers on shadertoy just seem like magicians comparatively. Very excited to check this out!
- pjmlp 5y agoGet some shader programming books like https://developer.nvidia.com/gpugems/gpugems/contributors https://developer.nvidia.com/gpugems/gpugems/contributors The Cg book although outdated provides good information about shaders, https://developer.download.nvidia.com/CgTutorial/cg_tutorial_chapter01.html https://developer.download.nvidia.com/CgTutorial/cg_tutorial...
- creamynebula 5y agoIs this possible if I have only an integrated graphics card?
- pjmlp 5y agoSure, unless you are having something older than 10 years or so. You can use something like GLView to see what the card is capable of, https://www.realtech-vr.com/home/glview https://www.realtech-vr.com/home/glview And in what concerns WebGL, https://webglreport.com/ https://webglreport.com/
- beaugunderson 5y agoI have really, really enjoyed Arsiliath's compute shader workshops (and the Discord community built around them): https://paprika.studio/workshops/compute/ https://paprika.studio/workshops/compute/ Learned a lot of really hard math and parallel GPU concepts that I would not have been able to without the ability to ask experts questions.
