I was hoping that the author would argue in favor of dropping Safari. I can't remember how many times something didn't get implemented because "it doesn't work on Safari" I don't fucking care if it doesn't work on Safari. I'm tired of Apple dragging the entire ecosystem down just so that they could have their 30% cut. When enough developers start developing with that mindset, perhaps potential buyers' first association to the iPhone will be "that phone on which most websites don't work."
