Either mass polyandry or mass polygyny like a few Moulay Ismail Ibn Sharifs / the Dr. Strangelove suggestion are bad ideas that lead to de facto near incest in subsequent generations. Cloning is also a terrible idea because it freezes evolution to changing conditions and creates an existential risk like crop monoculture that could wipe-out the entire species with one pathogen.
