Isn’t the question here more like putting Man City (elite professionals) up against average professionals? I don’t see the 10x goal differential there necessarily. It would be unremarkable for a “10x programmer” to be 10x better than a hobbyist, which is what I see as the equivalent of someone “who is fit and knows how to play soccer”.
