- pluc 5y agoSeriously does nobody think of moderation? I moderate a large sub on reddit and there are local news outlets that allow 4 articles a month and then you have to use trickery to get around the paywall to read the article. As a moderator I need to ensure the articles are related and comply with the rules - you know what I do when I reach the 5th article? For the rest of the month that site gets no posts on our sub.
- pavel_lishin 5y agoAs another moderator, that doesn't seem like a great approach; you're effectively punishing the readers of your sub for someone else's decision, somewhat arbitrarily. Your subscribers may not have hit that 4-article limit.
- leshenka 5y agoGood for them. Now what about rest of us?
- pavel_lishin 5y agoThe decision to ban partial-paywall sites is fine, but doing it just for a month after the moderator personally runs into a problem seems very subjective.
- dang 5y agoOut of curiosity, I looked up your past comments that have been flagged. Users flagged them, not mods. I didn't study the content closely, but it certainly looked like the flags were fair.
