What’s the Deal with Square Traces on PCBs (2019)
- poormystic 5y agoThe indicated Hackaday article promises that the resistance of a sheet of copper is calculated in terms of "Ohms per square". Not square anything... square nothing. That's as much mathematical physics as I want to learn from these guys. :)
- Someone 5y agoI read it as handling the case where current flows from one side of the square to the opposing side. Scale up the square by a factor of F in width and length, but not in height, and resistance goes up by a factor of F because of the path between opposing sides gets larger by that factor and down by a factor of F because that path gets wider by that factor.
