Goodhart's Law: "When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure," We focus too much on metrics for funding. It’s rare nowadays that a researcher can work on something for years and be allowed to take risks and fail. There’s little reward for reproduction and even less for knowledge translation (putting it into practice!)
