On the questionable use of Artificial Intelligence for job applications
- pseingatl 5y agoFB gets +15,000 applications for every posted vacancy. For twenty vacancies that's 300,000 applications. They simply don't have enough humans to cull through them all. Learn where the biases lie. Then game or jugaad your way around them.
- jnxx 5y agoThat's no excuse to use pure quackery. It would decrease the reputation of a company - except that it is FB so there is nothing to lose, I guess.
- jnxx 5y agoWhat a load of crap. If I knew that a company uses stuff like this, I would just skip the application. Knowing that in comparison to companies where my qualification is what matters, this will lower my chances and thus is a waste of time. On the other hand, it is an utter anachronism that in Germany, job applications still usually come with a photo, even if the job has nothing to do with appearance. That should just be forbidden because it increases ethnic and racial biases. As with any bias, it makes it also harder for the companies to select the best candidates.
