Anyone know of a good vi plugin for sublime ?
The last time I tried, all the plugins were significantly laggy and while nvim was functionally complete, it had this annoying behavior of switching out of insert mode if sublime lost focus. Apparently that's by design too.
Sublime itself was super snappy though. unfortunately a good vi/vim mode is a requirement for me.
- pood 5y agoDitto. This is my dealbreaker w respect to vscode.
- modernerd 5y agoHave you tried the built-in vintage mode? https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/3/vintage.html https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/3/vintage.html
- jsf01 5y agoNeoVintageous is the one I landed on after trying... - vintage mode - sublimesix - actualvim
- e_proxus 5y agoNeoVintageous is the most complete, up-to-date Sublime Vim plug-in. It is a fork (I think?) of Vintagous, whose author went on to make Six, both of which now seem abandoned. NeoVintageous comes with many more features out of the box (Vim plugins like Abolish, Surround and Sneak!). Since choosing it I haven't had to install or do any additional tweaks (apart from customizing a few settings). Highly recommended!
- muststopmyths 5y agoThanks, I'll give it a shot!
- Axsuul 5y agoHighly recommend NeoVintageous! How does it perform in Sublime 4 so far?
