  "constitutional amendments proposed by Republican lawmakers angry over Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf’s handling of the COVID-19 outbreak." So it's not the voters per se, but rather the Republican legislature. What's the point of this, other than to provide proof of servile Trump worship?

It’s almost pure Trump cultism, but that’s a fairly (though not always unquestioned, see the internal GOP controversies about the Arizona election “audit” farce) dominant force within the GOP tribe right now.
