Please set better file names
- gjvc 5y agoAlso, if you are running a business, say a restaurant, please prefix your PDF (for example) downloads with the name of your establishment. "golden-chopstick-menu.pdf" is much better than "menu.pdf (1)" Of course, filesystems are a quaint relic from the dinosaur age and a far more humane model would be an object soup with spatially-driven nomenclature. :-) Ahh, naming...
- rognjen 5y agoYes! Esp. now with all the QR codes that download the menu. Re: naming, a lot of people still seem to be operating under the impression that filesystems can't handle spaces, which hasn't been the case for a long time. Although, the more likely explanation is that they just don't even think about it and leave the default.
- gjvc 5y agofilesystems can handle spaces just fine... it's many tools that can't, or don't without people caring to use the features -- the most obvious example being find(1)
