- bsergean 15y agoThis is what I want awk to do very often (from python). Anyone know how to do that ? >>> 'foo + bar + baz + buz'.partition('+') ('foo ', '+', ' bar + baz + buz') I think cut does it but I often forget about it. $ echo 'foo + bar + baz + buz' | cut -d + -f 2- bar + baz + buz
