How did Reuters publish this… I’ll keep this in mind when reading their stuff from now on unfortunately. It is so laughably ridiculous to say that a company would fire an older white man specifically to hire a younger minority that I had to check both the author and the column to make sure it was not some 4chan troll.
The focus on diversity in hiring affects hiring (diversity make be taken into account for applicants) not firing existing people.

- bananabiscuit 5y agoWhat exactly do you find unbelievable here? Diversity goals target the demographics of active employees (at least that’s where I always see the attention directed). Firing is just as effective for achieving that.
