I think that’s specific to your setup. I run Debian SID with i3 as tiling window manager and FF is the primary browser I use. As a web dev, I have quite a few instances of FF open all the time. I can’t recall an issue with FF behaving badly when tiled. So, it’s unlikely that FF generally doesn’t work with a tiling WM.
