  I believe in the long-run cryptocurrencies will prove to be a good idea vs traditional fiat currencies but in the short-term the growing pains are significant. Maybe I'm being selfish but my graphics card (GTX 970) is six years old and all of last year I was waiting to buy a current gen graphics card at launch in the Fall. Last week my old GTX finally died and I still can't find a card that's not worse or multiples of its full MSRP. I'm really hoping some combination of ETH going to PoS and card makers putting in hash rate limiters will ease availability.
