Development drives dynamics of living chiral crystals
- ArtWomb 5y agoWhen I read the title, my immediate thoughts were to the "Silicon Based Life Forms" from Star Trek ;) But the discovery here is a biological solid state physics: "swimming starfish embryos spontaneously assemble into chiral crystals". Where the structure property relations are determined via embryonic development.
