The 24-Inch M1 iMac
- rektide 5y ago> According to Apple, compared to the 21-inch Intel iMac, the new M1 iMac’s volume has been reduced by more than 50 percent, and its overall footprint reduced by 30 percent — even though the display size increased from 21.5 to 24 inches. The volume reduction is what makes it look sleeker, but it’s the footprint reduction that makes it more versatile. anyone who would do the same to a 21 inch unit would basically be making a hybrid ultra-tablet. I long for those days. Samsung & Philips had some 18.5 inch tablets, the galaxy view & some model numbered thing, back in like 2013. incredibly hopeful awesome systems. I wish we'd try again. tablet sizes have crept up up slowly, to 12.4 inches or whatever, but I really think portable 17-22 inch displays that happen to also be tablets make all the sense in the world. oh by the way, Lenovo is releasing a tablet or foldable or whatever next week that also has HDMI in, that acts as a monitor.
- salamandersauce 5y agoWacom has a 15.6" Windows tablet. Although it's not exactly sleek because it's basically a pen display that happens to have a computer inside.
- awiesenhofer 5y agoSamsung is still at it, kinda, they recently released the Galaxy Book Pro 360, which is a foldable in 13.3 and 15.6 inch size with Super AMOLED display, touch and pen support etc.
